Whats New: Young 52 cruising catamaran
The Young 52 is the baby sister of the Young 60 and a new concept design unlike any currently available catamaran. This is an offshore capable high performance cruising cat. It is compact, yet is not lacking in any area of cruising attributes.
The Young 52 features no forward beam and a long bowsprit to carry the furling headsails. The freeboard and bridge deck clearance is high so this cat can be safely pushed hard in rough water. The saloon and living areas are the largest yet seen in a catamaran this size and especially a high performance vessel. Down below there is a dedicated owner’s hull with ensuite and two guest cabins.
Overall – this design exhibits cutting edge dynamics that will allow this design to be pushed to very high levels of performance. It will be optimized for light air sailing and strong upwind properties. Sailing it will be immensely enjoyable and rewarding.
