This project is being built for an experienced Italian client by General Bateaux which is an Italian company based in Tunisia www.generalebateaux.com. Company owner Giorgio Magrini is a very experienced yachtsman with a history ranging from Americas cup yachts through to Italian icon “Wally Yachts”.
One of biggest cruising cats yet built, the Young 90 offers one of the largest living areas yet seen in a vessel this size. The owner’s stateroom is truly magnificent; in addition there are 3 guest staterooms, a skipper’s cabin and crew cabin.
Uniquely the design features full height bulwarks and a very secure easy passage around the deck. The bowsprit will be a favourite place when sailing at speed. The stern boarding platform has been designed so the dinghy platform forms a “beach” area for water sports. The openness of the saloon with its bi-fold doors is very inviting and luxurious.
The twin sweeping stairs lead up to the fly bridge where the helmsman has 360deg views from the helm position. All sail controls and winches are close at hand making sail handling effective. The fly bridge features a BARBQ, fridge and large outdoor table and sun beds. The Young 90 is due to be launched in 2008.
